Admittedly i was relunctant to buy anything that is coming directly from a seller. And then when i read reviews about other after-market batteries, I was even more leary. However, this product is very good. I took it on the field of a football game and shot over 800 pics, many in burst mode to catch the action (Canon 20D). I kept checking the battery life expecting I’d have to change it. I was very pleasantly surprised that it lasted the whole event. However, when it did start to lose power, it went from full to empty without anything in between–kind of like me–I either have energy or i don’t.

Service was on greased rails. I never have had service or quality problems with Amazon, including this purchase. I’ve used generic batteries for my camera in the past, and they are worth the lower cost.

The KINAMAX battery uses a Japanese Cell so the life of the battery is longer and you get the full advertised power instead of the fake batteries that advertise one amount but do not come close to it.

Seriously, who writes a review of a battery? After all, it’s just a battery. Not necessarily so. The Canon battery costs more and has less storage capacity. When purchasing batteries, be sure to look at the storage capacity of the batteries in question. The storage capacity of batteries this size is expressed in mAh (milli ampere hours). The higher the mAh number, the more energy the battery stores. This battery has almost 44% more storage capacity than the Canon battery. Want to compare more batteries? Try this - divide the cost of the battery by the number of mAh. For this battery, $24.67 divided by 2000 (mAh) equals $.0123 per mAh. For the Canon battery, $37.59 divided by 1390 (mAh) equals $.027 per mAh. By the way, I use this battery in my Canon EOS-40D.

I purchased this battery for my Canon 40D, and I have to tell you, this is the best battery deal out there. The factory battery is a respectable 1390mAh, but this battery is 2000mAh. I took almost a thousand pictures with it last weekend at a car show and still had battery left. That’s impressive. Two of these are all you could ever need. My only gripe is that it’s a little loose in my charger, it still works though. Go get a couple of these things.
