I bought this camera after a miserable week with a “high-end” Canon (SD980is) that wouldn’t take a good picture no matter what I tried. This A1100 is a pleasure. The pictures are beautiful. Adjustments are intuitive, it seems to be fairly foolproof. This camera is well-built and sized right to hold in your hand. Has the right amount of features for the non-professional but high-expectation photographer. Very pleased!

The indoor picture quality is about the worst I have seen. If indoor pictures are important to you, do not buy this camera. Also the battery life is unacceptable. The camera comes loaded with selling points which make it sound great, but all that goes to waste once you see the end result of the actual (indoor) photos taken.

I purchased this camera for my best friend as a Christmas gift and she couldn’t be happier with it. The camera takes great pictures, is super easy to use, takes AA batteries so you can get them anywhere, sees really well in low light conditions and fits easily in her purse. In fact, her hubby just went on a trip and decided to take this camera with him instead of his Canon DSLR because it is just so easy, light and takes such good pics.

This Canon Powershot has been the perfect gift for my wife. She wanted a camera that would do all the work for her since she’s not camera smart. Who need’s to be with this Canon because it truly does the work for you. Now my wife is a little professional at taking photos, which turn out picture perfect. I would still recommend getting rechargeable batteries with this unit. If you don’t know much about using a camera - not to worry, this one will do the work for you. It has lots of extra features so when you get brave enough to adventure on your own there’s lots of goodies to work with. A happy wife makes a happy husband. Thanks Canon.
