This product does what it is supposed to do. Finally I can take self portraits which I use to check make up ideas, lighting etc.
The 10′ cord length even allows me to try different lenses offering much more creative freedom and convenience than shorter cords. The best solution if you have the Canon Rebel XS which has no means of using a cordless remote.

After reading review after review I decided to buy this remote because of the 10ft cord. I knew the Canon brand was too short for me. It does a pretty good job and work very well with my camera. It does look cheap, but it work and the price is really good. Great gadget!

The company from which Amazon obtains this and similar items, 47th Street Photo in New York, sent me the wrong control (remote switch for a digital SLR). Dealing with 47th Street’s customer service department to obtain a replacement (I had to pay the shipping and handling, which was their responsibility) proved troublesome beyond belief. I finally received a usable replacement, but I won’t be going back to 47th Street Photo for anything.
